They started green shoots wrapped in rainbow paper –
Boring.
In three hours trimmed and soaking water from a stein-
Soaring.
By day’s end yellow blossoms swell full amid the green-
Growing.
Now I in amazement see them open-
Showing.
From such plain stalks a startling transformation-
Humbling.
Yet I mourn what they do not yet feel in their stalks-
Tumbling.

Experimenting with different styles. A building mate gave me extra tulips and their transformation over the last twenty-four hours has been extraordinary.
